Basement Finishing
Eagle Mountain has grown a lot over the past several years, and many families are finding they could use a little more room. If you have an unfinished basement, you may already have that space right under your feet. It could become a family room, a couple of bedrooms, a home office, a gym, or even a basement apartment.
We’ve specialized in basement finishing since 2010 and have worked on just about every type of basement you can imagine. Some homeowners come to us with a pretty clear idea of what they want. Others just know they need more usable space and want some help figuring out the best way to use it.
Either way, we’ll walk through the basement with you, talk about your plans and budget, and help you put together a layout that works for your home. From there, we handle the details and turn the unfinished space into rooms your family can actually use.

Ideas to Consider for your Eagle mountain Basement Finish
If you’re starting to feel a little short on space, your basement may be the easiest place to find more of it. You can give the kids their own place to hang out, add a workout room, or create another family room to watch movies, play games, and spend time together.
That’s one of the nice things about finishing your basement. You can decide what’s actually useful for your family and build the space around it.
- Family Rooms: A basement family room gives everyone another place to relax. It can be where you watch a game, have a family movie night, or send the kids downstairs when friends are over.
- Game Rooms: A game room can be as simple or elaborate as you want. You might have a pool or ping-pong table, a big TV and couch for video games, or a table that’s always ready for board games. It’s really just about having a place where everyone can have some fun.
- Home Gyms: You don’t need a huge basement to put together a good home gym. A smaller area with the equipment you actually use can be enough, and there’s something nice about being able to work out whenever you want without driving to the gym.
- Guest Bedrooms: An extra bedroom gives visiting family and friends a comfortable place to stay. And when no one is visiting, the room doesn’t have to sit empty. Depending on how you design it, it can double as an office, hobby room, or another useful space.
You can also use a finished basement in plenty of other ways. The important part is figuring out what your home is missing now and using the basement to fill that need. You end up with more room to enjoy today, without having to move to get it.

Our Basement Finishing Process: What to Expect From Start to Finish
Finishing a basement has a lot of moving parts, but the process itself doesn’t need to be complicated. We handle the planning, permits, scheduling, construction, and inspections, and keep you updated along the way. You’ll know what we’re working on, what comes next, and who to talk to if you have a question.
Starting with a Clear Plan
The first step is a free in-home consultation. We’ll walk through your basement with you, talk about what you want to do with the space, and go over different options for the layout and finishes.
We’ll also talk about your budget and where you want to spend your money. If something you like is pushing the price higher than you’d like, we can look at other ways to get a similar result. We’ve finished a lot of basements over the years, so we can usually suggest places to save and where it may be worth spending a little more.
After the consultation, we’ll put together a detailed bid so you can see what’s included and what everything will cost before you decide to move forward.
Design, Drawings, and Permits
Once you approve the bid, we’ll create a technical drawing of the basement. You’ll have a chance to review the layout and make sure everything is where you want it before we start the basement.
As part of the basement finishing process we will apply for and obtain all necessary building permits and handle all the required city inspections. This way you know your home is code compliant and safe.
Construction
Once permits are approved, we can get to work. We coordinate the different trades, schedule inspections as we go, and keep the project moving from framing through the final finishes.
We’ll keep you updated on our progress and let you know when we need your decision. You’ll also have walkthroughs during construction, so you can see how things are coming together and ask questions along the way.
The Final Walkthrough
After construction and the final city inspection are complete, we’ll walk through the basement with you one more time. If you notice something that needs to be touched up or corrected, we’ll make a list and take care of it. We complete most of these final items within five business days.
We don’t ask for the final payment until the walkthrough is complete and you’re happy with the finished basement. We want to leave you with a basement that looks right, works the way you expected, and is ready for you to use.
