A basement bathroom is essential to most finishes. Most of our clients want to find a way to get a nice bathroom, but not too nice. They want the best bathroom they can get at a reasonable price. That is our standard bathroom.

Basement Bathroom Finishes

Most basement bathrooms are set up in a typical gally style. From back to front (door), the layout is tub/shower, toilet, and vanity. Each requires a specific amount of space. A typical basement bathroom is 8 feet long and 5 feet wide. This gives the space needed for each component of the bathroom.

Common upgrades for bathrooms include:

• Tiled walls above a standard tub
• A fully tiled shower with a glass door
• Cultured Marble or another man-made surface for a shower
• A Fancy toilet
• A larger-than-standard vanity
• Uncommon patterns or small tiles for the bathroom floor
• Upgraded mirrors.
• Upgraded hardware.
• A strong exhaust fan.

This is a great bathroom that most people find works very well and cost-efficient. The most common upgrade is for a more oversized or different vanity. This is a personal preference, and everyone’s tastes are different.
